Daniel Defense M4 V9 5.56mm NATO 16in Black Semi Automatic Modern Sporting Rifle - 10+1 Rounds - The Daniel Defense DDM4 V9 is designed to satisfy the needs of modern shooters not only in popular shooting sports but also for tactical and defensive applications. The long, 15in DDM4 quad rail and 16in cold hammer-forged barrel with a Government profile gives the operator the option to have the support hand extended out close to the muzzle. This allows them to drive the gun more precisely, and prevent over travel when transitioning between multiple targets. This combined with a mid-length gas system allows for quick but precise rapid fire. The longer rail also affords the shooter plenty of real estate for optics and accessories. It also has a rugged and comfortable Daniel Defense buttstock and pistol grip.
California compliant design prevents the magazine release button from being engaged while fully assembled, locking the magazine into the receiver. To release the magazine from the rifle, the shooter will be required separate the upper from the lower by pulling on an extended (rear) takedown pin with an attached cord to make the process easier. Once the magazine has been released the rifle can be re-assembled and shot once again
